Skills and experience I can offer
I registered my first business over 25 years ago and since then have established several others both with colleagues and independently. I understand both success and disappointment in a small business environment.
At 30 I was fortunate to be a founding director of the International charity World Youth International and held an active position on the board for 20 years. www.worldyouth.org.au is still active today and during those first 20 years of my involvement I learnt many valuable lessons about planning, marketing, staff, customers, partners, risk management and on it goes...
Holding numerous senior management positions has also added to my skills and experience. Most recently I worked within a Tertiary Education Institutute where I was Director of Employment and Enterprise Pathways. I had a staff of 70 within the Division and was required to run the Division as if it were a small business.
Through my work with World Youth I supported many young entrepreneurs as a coach, project manager and business advisor and have enjoyed working with many others who are 'giving it a go' as a small business owner.
Recently I established my own new enterprise for people over the age of 55 who know they still have a lot of living to do. Details of that project can be found at www.iforgottoretire.com
